Students with the Scott County Youth Grantmaking Council (YGC), a program of the Scott County Community Foundation, recently collected 1,075 items and $10 from the community for the Scott County Community Clearinghouse. The collection was part of the Souper Bowl of Caring, a nationwide effort for churches, schools and the community to collect money and food near Super Bowl weekend, in order to fight hunger and poverty in local communities. This is the ninth year the YGC has participated. The YGC would like to especially thank Multi-Color Corp. and Morgan Foods employees for their donations. The Clearinghouse assisted 475 families in January.
