Scott County Community Foundation Executive Director Jaime Toppe presents checks totaling $7,687.70 to Scottsburg United Methodist Church Chairman of Stewardship and Finance Committee Bob Ely and Endowment Committee Chair Naomi Henderson. The grants were awarded from Ella Maude McCulloch Mission Endowment Fund, Hazel Gillespie Hunger Fund, Kathy Nicholson Mission Fund, Kathy Nicholson Music Fund, Robert and Margie Fawver Fund, SUMC Endowment Fund and SUMC General Endowment Fund, all held at the Community Foundation. The grants will be used for the church?s mission and programs. Through a matching grant from Lilly Endowment Inc., all donations to the church?s endowment funds will be matched 50 cents for every dollar donated.
