Paula Baldwin, representative of the Scottsburg United Methodist Church Mission Committee, receives checks totaling $2,372 from Naomi Henderson, SUMC Endowment Committee Chair. The grants were awarded from the Kathy Nicholson Mission Endowment Fund and the Ella Maude McCulloch Mission Endowment Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation and were presented during the church?s Endowment Sunday. Ella Maude was involved in mission work her entire life, and the church established an endowment fund to gracefully honor her example of love and service to others. Kathy had a passion for mission work through the church, and a few weeks before her death she requested an endowment fund be established to support church-sponsored mission projects.
