Scott County Community Foundation board member Jennifer Coward presents a check for $300 to Scottsburg Middle School teacher Erin Krieger. The grant was awarded from the Gladys A. Berna Education Fund at the Community Foundation, and will be used for an “Exploring the Community” project. The special education department will take students on outings to learn life skills and how to interact with the community.
The Gladys A. Berna Education Fund was established to honor the legacy of “Miss Gladys,” who taught in Scott County for 38 years.
