Scott County Community Foundation grants committee chairperson Hank Jentzen presents a check for $3,600 to Sheriff Dan McClain on behalf of the Scott County Sheriff?s Posse. The grant will be used to purchase a generator and equipment for Posse?s response trailer. The Posse provides support for disaster situations, search and rescue, and community service. Also shown are grants committee member Heather White, Posse member Kenneth Burton, Community Foundation Board Treasurer L.L. Lowry, Posse President Mike Mosier and Posse Vice President Rick Rangel. The grant was part of over $138,000 that was awarded during the 2014 Community Grants Program, and is made possible by unrestricted funds established by generous donors.
