The grant was awarded from the Scott County Literacy Council Fund at the Scott County Community Foundation will be used for adult education services through River Valley Resources (RVR) at the Lifelong Learning Center. RVR provides math, reading, science, social studies, and writing instruction free of charge to help adults acquire the skills needed to earn a high school equivalency diploma, go to college, or enter an entry-level occupational certification program. They also provide instruction for English language learners.
