Are you an adult age 25 or older who is seeking financial assistance for education? The Scott County Community Foundation has two scholarships available, worth up to $1,000 each. Applicants must be at least 25 years old, reside in Scott County, and working on an associate or bachelor degree, or a certificate training program.
Applications are available online here. Applications are due Oct. 30, and funding should be used for the spring 2016 semester. Scholarships may be used for tuition and books only.
The scholarships are made possible by funding from the Paul Ogle Foundation and Lilly Endowment. They are a result of the Community Foundation?s involvement in the Education Matters Southern Indiana initiative (EMSI), in collaboration with Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Washington counties. The mission of EMSI is to strengthen our workforce and improve the economic advantages of our region by increasing the educational attainment of adults with some post-secondary education but no degree or certification.
If you need assistance with the application, please contact Jaime Toppe at 812-752-2057, email info@www.scottcountyfoundation.org or stop in the office at 60 N. Main St., Scottsburg.
