We have received a matching fund grant totaling $750,000 as part of the 8th phase of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s initiative, Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT VIII)!
What does this mean for Scott County?
- $541,000 is available for donations to any of our unrestricted funds listed HERE (click on the Unrestricted tab). For every $1 you donate, the Lilly Endowment match will provide $2!! Meeting our fundraising goal of $270,500 will result in $811,500 for the community, or an additional $32,460+ every year for grants to the community!!
- $205,000 is available for donations to the Scott County Family YMCA Community Project Fund. For every $1 you donate, the Lilly Endowment match will provide $1!! Meeting our fundraising goal will result in $410,000 to the YMCA for facility improvements to expand their programming.
- $4,000 has been allocated for a new Scott County StoryWalk location at Spicertown Park this December! Thank you to Duke Energy Foundation for their donation to make this possible.
