What do Rosie the Riveter, bell bottoms, big hair and iPads have in common? Nothing, except they represent different generations and all have made a lasting impression in society! ?In keeping with the spirit of celebrating the impact that past and current generations will have on future generations, the Scott County Community Foundation is hosting a Generations-themed dinner.

This fun-filled event will take place Saturday, August 23 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mid-America Science Park, 821 S. Lake Road South, Scottsburg. Attendees are encouraged (but not required!) to dress up in your favorite generation, or even decorate your table with items from your favorite era. There will be generational quizzes and music in this night to remember. Prizes will be awarded for best dressed, best decorated table, person traveled the farthest, most generations in attendance and more.

A live auction will also be held, with Ryan Payne providing the auctioneer service. Items include Disney World tickets, Belle of Louisville cruise, Horseshoe Casino package and much more.

Country Classics will provide dinner, which features baked ham, cavatina, cheesy potatoes, salad, rolls and dessert. Tickets are available for $15 per person, and reservations are required by Friday, Aug.? 15. All attendees will be entered in a drawing for a free will preparation at a local attorney of their choice.

Current sponsors include Morgan Foods, Scott County School District 2, Scott Memorial Hospital and United Way of Scott County. Sponsors are still being sought for the event. Sponsorships are available for $150 and include a table for six as well as well as entrance in a drawing for a free will preparation or $200 in the fund of your choice at the Community Foundation.

The Scott County Community Foundation has awarded over $2.9 million in grants to the community since it was first established in 1997.
