Families are invited to an early childhood resource fair sponsored by the Scott County Community Foundation’s Early Childhood Committee. There will be many providers to share resources on all things kids – how to sign up for free books from the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, register for preschool, learn about therapies and other services available for your child, and much more.
Providers include CEASe of Scott County, Centerstone Healthy Start, Covering Kids and Families, Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Early Learning Indiana, Kiwanis Club of Scott County, OVO Head Start, Sco Co Connect, and Scott County School District 2 Preschool. If your organization provides services for young children and families, it’s not too late to register your table. Please contact Emily Jordan at ejordan@scsd2.k12.in.us.
This event will take place Friday, July 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Scott County Courthouse lawn. Families are encouraged to visit the StoryWalk, a series of signs along a path that encourages movement and literacy. Dolly Parton’s I Am a Rainbow book is featured. This is the same night as Scottsburg Main Street’s monthly festivities. A free movie, Puss in Boots, will be shown at dark. There will be a free bounce house, giveaways and other fun games and activities planned for children.
