2023 Lilly Scholar Brady Watts

“My freshman year flew by, and it came with many learning experiences! Balancing academics and sports in college is much harder than in high school. Academics in college require much more studying and focus, and sports in college also require more energy and time. Figuring out how to manage my time and energy helped me to succeed in the classroom and become better on the field.

I red-shirted this year for baseball, which has allowed me to develop and become a better player. Also, this allowed me to be able to focus a lot on my academics and make the transition into a good college student!  I am excited to enjoy my summer playing baseball in Henderson, Kentucky while preparing to return to USI in the fall!”
