Family:
I am single and have two sons.  Scott Ashton is 32 years old, married, living in Lakeville, IN and works at Chaos Italian Restaurant in South Bend.
Kevin Ashton is 25 years old, single, living in Louisville, KY and works at Oxmoor Toyota as a service representative.
I attend Northside Christian Church in New Albany.
 
Hobbies:
I was the JV and Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach at Portland
Christian High School from 1994-1997.  I was the 7th grade Girls Volleyball Coach in 2001 and the 8th grade Girls Volleyball Coach in 2002 and 2003 at Scottsburg Middle School.  I enjoy walking and working out at the YMCA whenever time permits.

The motto of SCCF is a quote from Elton Trueblood that says “We have made a start in discovering the meaning of human life when we plant shade trees under which we know full well we will never sit.”  I believe that describes the work of the community foundation.  We are establishing funds that will make a lasting difference in Scott County and while that is being done we touch lives of many generations.

We ask our donors, grantees, and board members what is your charitable dream for Scott County?  What type of legacy do you want to leave?  Then we help to create the reality for that dream.  It’s exciting, it’s heart warming, and we make a difference in the lives of those that live and will live in our community.
