OTHER SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS

The Scott County Community Foundation has numerous scholarships to aid in the continuing of education. For more information, please call the Foundation office or talk to your guidance counselor.

  Amy Burch
2009 recipient of the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Educational Award, worth $500. Amy is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Richard and Carol Burch. She plans to attend Franklin College to major in elementary education.
 

Jamie Collins

2009 recipient of the Carol Pettit Scholarship, worth $400, and the Epply-Shields Memorial Scholarship, worth $3,365. Jamie is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of John and Jan Collins of Underwood. She plans to attend the University of Louisville where she will major in elementary education.

 

Megan Edwards

2009 recipient of the Mary Elizabeth-Virgil S. Miller Memorial Scholarship, worth $1,000. Megan is a graduate of Austin High School and the daughter of Phillip and Kathy Edwards of Austin. She plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to major in media journalism.

 

Robert Tyler Jackson

2009 recipient of the Greater Scott County Chamber of Commerce Educational Award, worth $500. Tyler is a graduate of Austin High School and the son of Robert and Rebecca Jackson of Lexington. He plans to attend Indiana University Southeast to major in business.

 

Christina Jourden

2009 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Ivy Tech Scholarship, worth $500. She is attending Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg, where she is majoring in nursing.

 

Keyla Kendall

2009 recipient of the Dottie Shelhamer Memorial Scholarship, worth $500, and the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild Brunton-Mumford Scholarship, worth up to $5,000. Keyla is a graduate of Austin High School and the daughter of Mark and Marilyn Kendall of Crothersville. She plans to attend Indiana State University to major in nursing.

 

Lacey Lord

2009 recipient of the Timothy Michael Wolf Memorial Scholarship, worth $5,000. Lacey is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Jo Anne Lord of Scottsburg. She plans to attend the University of Evansville, where she will major in psychology.

 

Leah Lyon

2009 recipient of the Dale McNeely Scholarship Fund, worth $10,000. Leah is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Jerry and Lynda Lyon of Scottsburg. She plans to attend Franklin College, where she will major in biology.

 

Stephanie Lytle

2009 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild Brunton-Mumford Scholarship, worth up to $5,000. Stephanie is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Rick Lytle of Scottsburg. She plans to attend the University of Southern Indiana to major in dental hygiene.

 

Hannah Mills

2009 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Guild Brunton-Mumford Scholarship, worth up to $5,000. Hannah is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Donna Springstun and Tim Mills of Scottsburg. She plans to attend Purdue University to major in nursing.

 

Amanda Munden

2009 recipient of the Alice and Gerald Miner Memorial Scholarship, worth $2,000, and the Mary Elizabeth-Virgil S. Miller Memorial Scholarship, worth $1,000. Amanda is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Bruce and Kathy Kirchner of Scottsburg. She plans to attend the University of Louisville where she will major in psychology.

 

Susan Royalty

2009 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Indiana University Southeast scholarship, worth $2,000. Susan is the daughter of Hobson Andrews of Scottsburg and Pauline Amick of Madison. She is married to Steve Royalty and they have two children. She is working on her bachelor of science degree in nursing and plans to graduate in May 2010. She works full time in the obstetrics department at Scott Memorial Hospital.

 

Nyle Sullivan

2009 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Ivy Tech Scholarship, worth $282. He is attending Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg, where he is finishing his degree in the registered nurse program.

 

Mary Thompson

2009 recipient of the Christie Crafton Memorial Scholarship, worth $335. Mary is a graduate of Scottsburg High School and the daughter of Michael and Selena Thompson of Scottsburg. She plans to attend Indiana University Southeast, where she will major in pediatric nursing.

 

Tisha Vaughn

2009 recipient of the Scott Memorial Hospital Indiana University Southeast scholarship, worth $1,000. Tisha is the daughter of Belinda Bridgewater and Johnny Babbs, and is married to Jason Vaughn. She is working on her bachelor of science degree in nursing and plans to graduate in May 2010. She currently works full time in the emergency department at Scott Memorial Hospital.
