Women Invited to Luncheon

Jessy Haywood of the Center for Women and Families will be the guest speaker at a luncheon sponsored by the Scott County Community Foundation. All women in the community who are interested in making a difference are invited to the lunch furthering the topic of “women and philanthropy.” This meeting has been rescheduled from June 17.

The group recently met to begin brainstorming on the vision of a women’s giving circle in Scott County. This next meeting will focus on establishing a mission statement. The monthly meetings will also feature guest speakers from agencies throughout the area, to educate women about the issues facing our community and the services available.

This meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 1 from 12-1 p.m. at the Scott County Heritage Center & Museum. Lunch will be provided. If you are interested in attending, please call the Scott County Community Foundation by Monday, June 30 at 752-2057 or email info@scottcountyfoundation.org.
