Family: Married to Lori, who teaches fifth grade at Lexington Elementary; two daughters, Caitlin, a senior at Indiana State University, and Kelsie, a senior at Scottsburg High School

Employment: civil engineer for Hannum, Wagle & Cline Engineering, where he is director of the transportation design division

Activities/memberships/hobbies: Scott Memorial Hospital trustee, member of Scottsburg Lions Club, Scottsburg United Methodist Church, previously served six years on the YMCA board of directors.

What do you like about the Scott County Community Foundation?

"I'm looking forward to serving on the Scott County Community Foundation. The opportunities for multiple students to attend the most prestigious colleges and universities over the years through the Lilly scholarship have been a great asset in our community - one that was truly unimaginable 15 years ago. The challenges we are facing in these uncertain economic times only serves to reinforce the need for the Community Foundation and the opportunities it can provide."
