Activities/memberships/hobbies: Member of the local and state Retired Teachers Association. Basketball and football fan, enjoys yard work. Has traveled extensively in the past, and is now enjoying retired life.

Why did you re-join the board? What do you like about the Scott County Community Foundation? Mary served as a founding board member from 1997-2001. She also served on the birthday committee for the Foundation during its 10-year celebration in 2007.

"As an Austin High School graduate and as a former AHS teacher, I continue to be interested in our young people. I especially appreciate the Foundation's endowment funds which will provide assistance to our youth and our community into perpetuity. It is an honor to serve on the board of such an important organization."
