Activities/memberships/hobbies: Active member of Austin Christian Church where I sing in the choir, provide special music, sit on the ACC Preschool Board, ACC Mission Board, Toddler Worship, director ACC King's Kids (Kid's Choir); currently serve as treasurer of the Austin Alumni Association; committee member for the Austin Outstanding Alumni; member of SHS Soccer Booster; member of SHS Swim Booster; currently serve on grants committee at Scott County Community Foundation, which joined in 2005

Formerly served on the following: Austin Lion's Club, Democrat Club, charter member of Optimist Club

Hobbies include: photography, scrapbooking, music, reading, cooking and of course, following my children to their extra-curricular activities

Why did you join the board? I joined the board because I have personally seen, as a member of the grants committee for the Scott County Community Foundation, the benefits received by numerous individuals from prior donors that have graciously given donations of money, services, time and effort. When we give with no objective of personal gain, even of ourselves, many great things can come from that. The effects of which, I can only imagine.

What do you like about the Scott County Community Foundation? I like the fact that they promote philanthropy, stewardship, giving and serving, all of which are vital to making our community a better place for many generations to come.
