Friends of the Foundation Invited to Fall Dinner

   The Scott County Community Foundation will end its yearlong 10th birthday celebration with a fall dinner. The event will be held Saturday, Nov. 10 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus.
    There will be a video shown that will showcase the accomplishments of the Foundation. Owen and Annette Egeberg will play the flute and harp. The menu will include baked ham, baked chicken over rice, au gratin potatoes, corn, California mix of carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, tossed salad, rolls and a variety of desserts.
    The Community Foundation was established in 1997, in affiliation with the Community Foundation of Southern Indiana. On September 30, 2000, it became a stand-alone foundation. Over the past 10 years, the Scott County Community Foundation has made over 2,300 grants totaling more than $2.1 million. The Foundation currently manages permanent assets of $6 million.
    The yearlong celebration has included a Valentine’s dance and auction, cookouts, and a grants breakfast. There will also be a fun fall event featuring CAPE programs for elementary students and their families on Thursday, Nov. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at the Family Resource Center in Austin.
    Friends of the Foundation who would like to attend the dinner are asked to call the office by Monday, Nov. 5.
