Foundation Presents Mini-Grant to C.R.A.D.L.E.

Scott County Community Foundation Board Member Jean Robbins a $100 grant to Deanna Jackson, executive director of the C.R.A.D.L.E. Pregnancy Resource Center. Foundation staff and board members are presenting mini-grants to local organizations of their choice. Robbins chose C.R.A.D.L.E. because “they’re helping so many women that are struggling in the community who want to have healthy babies and raise healthy families.” C.R.A.D.L.E., a Christian organization, provides free clothing, formula, diapers, baby food, over-the-counter medicines, maternity clothes, baby beds and much more, along with offering cooking and parenting classes. The center served more than 1,500 clients in 2006. It is open Monday and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and Thursday from 1-5 p.m. and is at the corner of Highland and Thomas. To make a monetary donation, or needed items of diapers, toddler car seats, formula and crib mattresses, call 752-6898.
