Scott County Partnership Receives Grant for Poverty Program

The Scott County Partnership was awarded a $1,000 grant from the Scott County Community Foundation for a poverty simulation kit for its Circles Campaign. The organization was surprised with the news at a recent visit. “The Scott County Partnership has brought the Circles Campaign to Scott County. This is an innovative initiative with the purpose of getting people out of poverty through relationships. The poverty simulation kit will be used to develop community awareness of some of the systemic barriers that hold back people who are trying to get ahead in life,” said Scott County Partnership Executive Director Carolyn King.
